Summary: It’s great to spend time in the beach house and beach cottage. Getting to fall asleep to waves crashing and wake to the sun rising over the ocean is a special experience. And the service by staff is just exceptional. The food is wonderful as well. We love coming here and coming back.

Summary: Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic beer for our designated driver. We very much enjoyed the food and the the beef short rib was the best I've ever had. The included served breakfast was excellent and my pick is the poached eggs with lobster "hash" and Holindase sauce. We were here in March and activities we enjoyed are: 1) Ocean Drive and Brenton Point State Park 2) The Cliffwalk 3) The Mansion tours 4) Shopping around the Tennis Hall of Fame 5) Auto Museums - Audrain and Newport Auto Museum When we come in the summer we also enjoy the beach. This hotel is especially convenient if you have a car. Plenty of parking.
